Sharing results and Fleet Assignments

Overview

Scores for a regatta, finishes in a given heat/fleet and fleet assignments can be shared from ezRegatta using the standard Apple Share Sheet which works with standard apps and shortcuts. This means, for example that a scoresheet can be printed, posted to a WhatsApp group, sent via a message or an email, or posted to social media (more about Facebook and PDF files later...)

What can be shared/printed?

There are three types of page that can be shared:

1. The regatta results page that is activated from the main regatta detail page
2. The fleet assignments for a race, which is shown on the fleets panel when a multi fleet race is selected.
3. A single fleet assignment, or finishing places for heats which have raced already.

Sharing With the Apple Share Sheet

The above reports have a Share button at the top-right. This will create a PDF file of the report with multiple pages for regatta scores with over 40 skippers.

Your iPhone or iPad will give you a standard set of options to send the file in a message, post to WhatsApp (if installed), Print it etc.

Unfortunately Facebook accounts do not allow PDF files to be posted, but we have created a "Shortcut" that can be added to your sharing options that will let you convert these PDF reports to an image and post to Facebook with one click.
